The challenge:
Non-governmental organisation wants to raise awareness on the Olympic spirit as well as the positive impact of sports on people’s life. For this purpose, they regularly organise Marathon races and charity balls. Their main goal is to attract as many volunteers as they can and vivify fund-raising in order to support athletics.
Client actions:
The NGOs have a very few means of raising money, so their expenses in advertisement are limited to flyers and social media presence. However, these means are not enough to ameliorate their mobility.
Our actions:
The Marathon resorted to SMSCUBE, as other similar companies offered an extremely expensive package for the Marathon standards.
The Marathon has incorporated to its website a SMSCUBE subscription form, where volunteers insert their name, telephone number and a few information concerning their racing history. This subscription form creates the database which the SMSCUBE team is going to use, in order to notify the volunteers for the upcoming races, charity balls and statistics concerning the races timings and ranks via SMS messages.
What we deliver:
SMSCUBE created a communication channel between the Marathon and the volunteers empowering the NGO to continue its social work.
The attendance on every race is significantly higher than previous times, as volunteers receive an early notice on the date and time of the race and they are urged to set up a new personal racing record.
Credibility and trust on the Marathon’s operation is also invigorated, as the volunteers receive SMS notifications with the charity actions that the organisation performs after a race or fund-raising.
The next day:
The Marathon hopes to attract international participants, volunteers and athletes to better promote the sports ideals. SMSCUBE supports international bulk messaging. A vast group of recipients in many countries is accessible at once.
